Don't get me wrong, I love the change of window.alert but it sometimes can be useful.
I have a script that works in background for a specific site, whenever it done its job (1-5 mins) it will call alert, I will jump back to that tab and take what I need.
With this change of window.alert, I will need to first write down the status of the progress to the page, another work to do is to check the site to see if the script is finished.
