Welcome to WPBeginner and thank you for watching.
In today’s video, you’ll learn how to clean up your WordPress database for improved performance. If you’ve been running your site for a while,
chances are it might be time for a database cleanup. First you’ll want to make a backup of your
site just in case something goes wrong. Then install and activate the wp-sweep
plugin. Next go to Tools–>Sweep to clean up your
WordPress database The plugin will show you items that can be
removed and when you click sweep, it will clean them up individually or you can scroll down and choose to sweep all of them at the same time. Sweep does a great job of removing items properly
from the database. If you like this video click on the like button and go ahead and leave us a comment there, we’d love to hear from you. And subscribe to our YouTube channel to get the latest videos.
