BAVSOUND – BMW Bluetooth Operation – Voice Dial – Phone Book – Etc

So I have four methods that I can
dial using my BMW Bluetooth system. The first method is very simple. What I’ve done is prerecorded a series
of names into the BMW Bluetooth system that recognize my voice and associated
a number with those names to dial. Using that method, which in my opinion is the best since it
allows you to be completely hands-free and not look at anything is to simply
press and hold the talking head button on my steering wheel. When I do that, the system will ask for
me to give it a command dial name. Please speak the name office office. Are you sure? Yes dialing. I said phone comes up on the
radio. The music is muted. Thanks for calling DSW. We know automated
phone systems can be frustrating, so we’ll make this short and sweet. Join the call. I simply pressed
the talking head button again. The second way that I can dial in
number is if I know the number by heart, but I haven’t programmed that
into the BMW Bluetooth module. I simply press and hold the talking
head button again. Once again, we’re going to hear a beat and
I’ll give the system a command dial number. Please speak the number. (404) 963-8857 (404) 963-8857 and 10 you dial dialing. Thanks for calling DSW. We know
automated phone systems can be fun. Again, to end the call, I simply pressed the talking head
button on my steering wheel controls. The next method that we can use is to
use the phone book that our phone has uploaded to the BMW Bluetooth
module. Now depending on your phone, this may or may not work. In my case,
I have an iPhone. It works perfectly. To use this, I simply press the T button on my
steering wheel and I’ll see the various numbers that that exist in my
telephone book come up on my radio. I can scroll through them by pressing
the up and down arrows on my steering wheel. And when I get to a
number that I want to call again, I press the talking head button
and it’ll dial that number and it’ll show me the
number right on my screen to end the call. Once again, I’m going
to press the talking head button. The last way that you can use the
system is on the phone itself. So in this particular case, what
I want to do is call my office. So I just go through my phone book,
select the number that I want to call, and this system will dial.
In this particular case, you’ll actually notice that it won’t
interrupt the music until a connection has been made, so can seem a little strange
and actually like it’s not working. There you have it. It works perfectly. So I’ll make this short
and sweet and if I want to, I can end the call itself
on the steering wheel. And that’s how you dial on
your BMW Bluetooth system.
